Today's tip will provide you with three great resources for help with basic computer skills.  Hopefully you've developed enough confidence with the computer that you don't need these sites, but you might know someone else who does.

Three Websites for really basic computer knowledge:

Really Easy:
Basic Computer Operations from Minna no Kyozai
The Minna no Kyōzai is a site managed by The Japan Foundation Japanese-Language Institute, in Urawa.  The Basic Computer Operations part of their site is meant to be used by Japanese students to develop their English language and computer skills.  If you need to start with a really easy computer tutorial this is the website for you.

Easy:
Basic Computer Operations from Western University
The Western Carolina University has an easy to use index of basic computer skills that you might want to check out. You'll find this site to be more thorough than the previous one but still very user friendly.

Beginner Level:
Computer Operations from the AECT Project
The Association for Educational Communications and Technology created this site to help teachers learn more about computer technology.  A more complex site than the previous two.  It is a great resource for adult professionals with limited computer skills.

 

PRACTICE ACTIVITY:  Promote computer technology by sharing these websites with someone you know who needs help with real basic computer skills.
