Technology Tip Number 80 Microsoft Vista Microsoft, the largest computer software company on the planet, has been the driving force in our collective computer experience for a while now. You should be aware that most of the computers in the U.S. are using a Microsoft operating system. For example Windows XP is now several years old and the folks at Microsoft are preparing us all for a change. They have been working on a new operating system for several years and they have had several problems along the way. The new operating system had been called Longhorn for a while but they officially changed the name to Vista and released it in January of 2007. Originally Microsoft had planned to release Vista in the summer of 2006 but that was delayed by some security problems.
